Aroma Fest - Vin & Gastronomie

Aroma Fest was launched in Iași in May 2025 as a wine and gastronomy festival designed to bring together producers, chefs, and the public in a celebration of taste and culture. The challenge was to create a visual identity that could express both the sophistication of fine wine and the playful, inviting atmosphere of a festival.

Objective

The goal was to design a brand identity that:

  • Communicates the diversity of wine and gastronomy in an accessible way.

  • Creates a strong, memorable visual language adaptable across multiple touchpoints.

  • Balances tradition with modernity, connecting local inspiration with an international outlook.

Story

The creative direction was built around the idea of a visual blend, much like a wine cuvée. Linear illustrations of wine bottles, glasses, olives, corkscrews, cheese, and chocolate were combined into a geometric pattern that recalls a Romanian folk belt, symbolizing unity and cultural roots. The logo integrates a wine glass into the “O” of Aroma, radiating like a sun to suggest an explosion of flavors. Typography with varied proportions adds rhythm and playfulness, reinforcing the festival’s approachable and celebratory tone.

Execution

The identity was applied across:

Outdoor communication – posters and billboards announcing the event.

Digital communication – social media assets and promotional visuals.

Festival materials – wristbands, tote bags, and merchandise designed to extend the brand into participants’ hands.

A versatile color palette and flexible linework allowed the identity to adapt seamlessly across both print and digital formats, ensuring a cohesive yet lively presence.

Outcome

The result was a visual identity that positioned Aroma Fest as both elegant and approachable. It gave the festival a recognizable face, one that celebrated sensory experiences and invited audiences to participate. Strategically, the system created consistency and memorability, helping establish the festival as a cultural event with strong branding from its very first edition.

This project showed how design can do more than communicate. It can shape culture, set expectations, and give a new festival the foundation to grow for years to come.
